narendra modi as i assess him

AUM.
NARENDRA MODI AS I ASSESS HIM
By Brigadier Chitranjan Sawant,VSM

Narendra Bhai Modi is a giant among men with humane qualities. He is an acknowledged Hindu-hriday Samrat on way to becoming Bharat hriday Samrat with democratic values in mind and welfare of all Indians including old girl named after a Sikkim river at heart. The politicians who lost the race to power are barking but at the wrong tree. Filing false affidavits, tutoring witnesses and abusing the due process of law are some of the myriad misdeeds of detractors of the great administrator, Modi.
The People's Republic of China invited Narendra Modi as the emerging economic giant and military super power recognised the present qualities and potential power that the great Gujarati Bandhu wields for the greater good of the greater number who are citizens of India. Narendra Modi and Ji Xingping, the shadow President of China, have the vision of bringing the neighbouring countries on the common platform sans animosity. The present duo may achieve the Himalayan Peace that Nehru and Chow had failed to bring about.
May I advise our compatriots to have a liberal view of the rival and challenger of the yuraj or heir apparent of the tottering regime of the century plus old political party, presently on the Sadbhavna Yatra, and shake off approach of a Moron to view the Indian present and future in correct perspective. May Parmatma bless Teesta with some Buddhi or working intellect to enable her to distinguish between the Good and the Evil for her own good and the good of all Indians inclusive of Gujaratis where she belongs.
HUMBLE BIRTH AND BEGINNING
Born on 17th September 1950 at Vadnagar, Gujarat without a silver spoon in the mouth, Narendra Bhai Modi joined the Rashtriya Swyemsewak Sangh as a student when he had an impressionable mind. The imprint of the Sangh philosophy was so deep on his mind that he swore by it, lived by it and lived for no goal but to make Hindustan a global power and its citizens healthy, happy and true patriots. Modi did not profess a sectarian attitude to solving national problems and never encouraged parochialism. The leadership qualities of Narendra bhai received recognition from no less a person than Advani Ji when the latter chose Narendra bhai to oversee the election process in both Himachal and the new State of Haryana. He came off with flying colours and , thereafter, did not have to look back. Whatever he desired was his in a jiffy.

Narendra Modi knows that he has the welfare of all Gujaratis at heart and he has been working on it tirelessly twentyfour/seven. His words are not mere election promises that are seldom honoured in the land of its origin. No wonder the people of Gujarat love Narendra bhai 24/7 and not only for the election period. Indeed it is the love and respect of the Gujaratis that has helped Naren bhai establish records of sorts. Narendra Modi is the longest serving chief minister ever. He was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on 7th October 2001 and has been there till today. With a view to learning the theory and practice of the Art of Warfare in politics, Narendra Modi worked for the Master‘s degree in political Science and got it. The knowledge gained therein has held him in good stead.
VIOLENCE HIT GUJARAT
The detractors of Narendra Modi see the Gujarat riots post burning of Kar Sewaks at Godhara as the golden opportunity to pin down the Lion Of Gujarat. The Congress party is playing the role of Jackal in this political drama. It wants courts of law to take judicial cognition of Narendra Modi’s role in the post-Godhara riots where more than a thousand Muslims were killed and then it feeds on the immobilised fall guy. Well, ten years have gone by and no one has been able to adduce even an iota of evidence based on facts. Naturally, a court of law cannot find Narendra Modi guilty of inciting violence against Muslims or of administrative inaction in the absence of impeccable evidence that would stand judicial scrutiny. It is well known that hearsay statements are inadmissible in a court of law as it is against the provisions of the Indian Evidence Act.
The Special Investigation Team(SIT) appointed by the Supreme Court to do investigation in riot cases, incidents of committing atrocities against Muslims etc did not find any reliable evidence or prosecutable evidence against Narendra Modi. Despite his being not guilty, it is seen that some eople are being pressurised to corner Modi and incapacitate him legally so that he is not permitted to stand for a post or canvass support in political meetings. But that is not to be because the sound system of our judiciary won’t allow a witch hunt. However, the dirty tricks department of the Congress party is still at the nefarious game. Nonetheless, they do not see light at the end of the tunnel.
Narendra Modi is being appreciated by all sections of the Gujarati Samaj belonging to all religions for his ablity in administering Gujarat without fear or favour. The Rule of Law prevails all over. Narendra Modi’s hold on the people of the State is so good that he got scot free even after demolishing illegally constructed temples and mosques in Ahmedabad because those were constructed illegally and came in the way of highways connecting rural and urban areas for developmental activities. That incident speaks a lot about the impartial approach of Narendra Modi to solving problems where both the communities, the Hindu and Muslims were concerned.
In cases where an intervention by the Apex Court would have meant slowing down Development of Gujarat, their Lordships declined to intervene and sent the case to the Judicial Magistrate concerned for disposal,
The common man in Gujarat is so happy with the Modi government that they have been returning them to the State capital after their win at the hustings time and again. In the last elections to the State Assembly in 2007, the BJP led by Modi romped home 122 seats out of 182. In 2012 the good old story of his success is most likely to be repeated.
MODI ON TERROR
The terrorists cannot have a more able adversary than Modi. It is unbelievable but true that after the Godhara related violence, there have been no communal riots in the State. Men and women of all regions and religions live amicably and see no reason to pick up arms and strike each other. The Islamist terrorists are scared of doing to Gujarat what they did to Mumbai, Maharashtra. Absence of an act of terror in Gujarat for the last ten years goes to prove that the Modi Administration is always on the alert and the false sense of security that they give to the Common Man has been exposed. The Islamist terrorist stands exposed and even his co-religionists call him names for disturbing Peace in Gujarat when all Gujaratis are living in brotherly tranquil state, a rare phenomenon.
Narendra Modi has already cautioned all concerned to give no quarters to terrorists, home grown or imported. It is worth quoting Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Terror. He said,
“Terrorism is worse than war....India has lost more people in terror attacks than in wars.”

BLOODSHED IN KOKRAJHAR WAS A CONSPIRACY TO MERGE LOWER ASSAM WITH BANGLADESH

AUM
BLOODSHED IN KOKRAJHAR FOR ANNEXATION OF ASSAM
By Brigadier Chitranjan Sawant,VSM
Who is going to annex Assam, one may wonder. Are there phalanx of battle ready armies moving around lower Assam to attack and annex? Indeed, that is the game plan of Bangladesh and it had been there since the days of formation of East Pakistan on 14 August 1947. In any case the Sylhet district of Assam was given to East Pakistan and the leaders of the Muslim League, including Sheikh Mujibur Rehman, had coveted the rich mineral resources, jungles and vast vacant lands of Assam. The sinister design of Islamic Republic of Pakistan to make the Lower Assam a Muslim-majority area, foment communal trouble and annex it for good is being implemented now in the 21st century.. The successive governments of East Pakistan had been playing this game and the power-hungry Indian politicians had been banking on the vote-bank of the Muslim immigrants from Bangladesh to remain in power and enjoy the loaves and fishes of their high offices.
The East Pakistanis, now Bangladeshis, find green pastures in India and come from their homeland in droves to make money, buy property and become Indian citizens by hook or crook. They succeed after greasing the palms of Indian officials and the local Police. Money makes the mare go and Bangladeshi criminals indulge in all kinds of illegal activities in India. They even get away with murder. The law and order machinery and low grade politics that keep self before the Nation are to blame for the morass honest Indian citizens are in at this point of time. The reforms in the political and legal systems has to be initiated at both ends – top and bottom. Eventually the People’s movement might deliver the goods by bringing good and patriotic young men and women to power. Well, it did happen once when the youth wing of the Assam Gana Parishad launched a mass movement, ASSAM FOR ASSAMESE, AND SUCCEEDED IN FORMING THE State government too. The illegal Muslim immigrants were rounded up, put behind bars and deported to their country of origin. But they too had their Achilles heel, and the worldly temptations had better of them. Their government fell before long and the cherished ideals were thrown overboard.
The warnings of losing Assam in the long run were sounded by patriots from time to time but they fell on the deaf ears of the traitors. The latest man in authority to sound the warning bell is no less a person than Lt Gen S.K. Sinha, Governor of Assam who wrote to President Narayanan in 1998 about gravity of situation and precarious security situation but the deaf and dumb politicians did sweet nothing to ward off the danger of losing Assam to Greater Bangladesh. Instead, the General was maligned as a rank communalist and an anti-Muslim fellow bent upon creating trouble. Now we all know how right was General Sinha and how wrong were the 22 Members of Parliament who moved heaven and earth to have General Sinha recalled as Governor of Assam. The traitors tasted success and were emboldened. The blood of Kokrajhar today is on the hands of traitors and all the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten their hands.
As a citizen of Bharat, I am a sad man today as I read the accounts of riots, arson, murders of the Bodo Hindus by the illegal Muslim immigrants from the neighbouring Bangladesh. The Govt of India under PM Manmohan Singh and the Dacca govt of Sheikh Hasina have done precious little to stop the influx of illegal Muslim immigrants because the power hungry political parties treat the illegal immigrants as their vote-bank.
May I suggest that the report of General S.K. Sinha, the Governor of Assam in 1998 be made public so that the Indian Nation knows that a Patriot named General Sinha had analysed the Assam problem threadbare and cautioned all those who mattered to take remedial measures. And the Patriot was almost hounded out by the politicians and other pro-Muslim elements who wished Assam to be a part of Islamic Bangladesh
The names of 22 MPs who wrote to the President and Govt of India for recall of General Sinha be made public so that the Indian people know who is a Patriot and who is a traitor.
My condolences to the bereaved families and a word of advice to Tarun Gogoi, Chief Minister of Assam, to keep India that is Bharat Above All local and poitical interests and push the illegal Muslim immigrants back into Bangladesh. Let the Bangladeshis be reminded of their history and told that hundreds of Indians had shed blood to give birth to Bangladesh and drive away Pakistani demons who preyed on the population of the then East Pakistan, mostly Muslims.
However, what is a shocking surprise is the Indian Muslim Members of Parliament forming a delegation to call on political bigwigs to highlight the burning of Muslim villages and killing of Muslim citizens of India by the Hindu Bodos. Perhaps they are doing this exercise to divert the public attention from illegal acts of arson, murder, looting etc by the illegal immigrants and arouse public sympathy for the criminals. What a fall, my countrymen from the high ideals of the Indian National Congress preached and practised in the era gone by.
May I suggest that the report of General S.K. Sinha, the Governor of Assam in 1998 be made public so that the Indian Nation knows that a Patriot named General Sinha had analysed the Assam problem threadbare and cautioned all those who mattered to take remedial measures. As stated heretofore the Patriot was nearly fired from post for doing his duty honestly by the politicians and other pro-Muslim elements who wished Assam to be a part of Islamic Bangladesh
The names of 22 MPs who wrote to the President and Govt of India for recall of General Sinha be made public so that the Indian people know who is a Patriot and who is a traitor.
My condolences to the bereaved families and a word of advice to Tarun Gogoi to keep India that is Bharat Above All interests and push the illegal Muslim immigrants back into Bangladesh Let the Bangladeshis be reminded time and again of their history and told that hundreds of Indians had shed blood to give birth to Bangladesh and drive away Pakistani demons.
Be that as it may, the political and economic situation in the Lower Assam is very serious. It is time the Government of India took decisive action and drove back the illegal immigrants rising above party politics and narrow gains of electoral battles. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh must dig out the comprehensive report on the causes of the present situation of deep distrust that has developed between the Hindus of Assam and the Muslim illegal immigrants because of the devilish designs of the latter. Any mollycoddling of communal elements at this point of time will be an anti-national act and the history of India, as and when written objectively, will not forgive those politicians who have been keeping their selfish interests above the National interests.
Let us remember: If India lives, we live: if India dies, we die. Let India live forever !

ARYA SAMAJ MUST PROSELYTIZE OR PERISH

AUM ARYA SAMAJ MUST PROSELYTIZE OR PERISH By Brigadier Chitranjan Sawant,VSM India that is Bharat is the largest democracy of the world. At least the constitution of the country affirms in its preamble that India is a sovereign , secular, democratic Republic. The ground realities, however, are different. The common man or the AAM AADAMI in whose name and in whose behalf the democratic show is run is just on the periphery. He and she are ignored by the powers that be and perpetually remain ignorant about the system of governance. Consequently the poor aam aadami continues to be poor despite all the Gharibi Hatao Abhiyan launched by various political parties in power. The political parties come to power by making use of various permutation and combination of caste and creed. Although India is a secular country but it is just an outward show. Most of the political parties take recourse to rabid communalism to win elections and form governments. Right from the Prime Minister to the Sewa Dal swyamsewak encourage the local electorate to think and act on narrow communal lines. In Mizoram and Nagaland Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had spoken of Christendom because the majority of voters there are Christians by faith. Even the super-secular Communist leaders in Kerala promoted Islamic communalism by carving out a Muslim majority district in Kerala and named it Mallapuram. When Mullahs talk of implementing Shariah, and issue diktats to the areas of influence, the Samajwadi party of Mulayam Singh and its young Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav turn a deaf ear and decline to comment on such unconstitutional activities. GAME OF NUMBERS A citizen uninitiated in the complex political chakravyuh might be wondering why do political parties pamper the minority communities and ignore the majority community, that is the Hindus. The ground reality is that the Hindus are not a majority community in some States and other regions, numerically speaking. On paper the Hindus are shown as a majority community but on ground they are a minority and yet they do not receive the benefits given to the minorities all over the country. Even where the Hindus are in majority, they stand divided on caste lines and thus do not make an impact electorally. However, if and when a polarisation takes place on communal lines, the Hindu candidates gain and their political party is able to form a government too. However, on an all-India basis, the Hindu-oriented political parties are yet to make a lasting impact because in many States the non-Hindus vote together to defeat the Hindu-oriented candidate. How one wishes that in Bharat where the Hindus form eighty percent plus of the population, the Hindus are cared for, their voice is heard and non-Hindus dare not think of passing legislation to harm their interests permanently. The answer lies in Hindus increasing their numerical strength on an all-India basis to have a say in the political set up of the country. There are a number of factors that come in the way of Hindus increasing their numerical strength. If a Hindu male has more than one wife, his chances of siring many children brightens up. There was no problem in Hindu males having more than one living wife until the year 1955 when the Hindu Marriage Act was passed by the Parliament at the behest of some leaders who were interested in having their own sons or daughters divorced by spouses and remarry thereafter. The new law brought in the draconian law of divorce and disturbed the family harmony of the Hindus too. Even the Supreme Court has expressed its displeasure at some of the disturbing sections of the Act that brought more disharmony in the Hindu social set up than ever before. No less a person than Dr Rajendra Prasad, the then President of India was opposed to the original bill called the Hindu Code Bill that would have damaged the fabric of the Hindu social order irreparably. Nehru, the architect of the Hindu Code Bill had to backtrack since opposition to the misconceived reform in jurisprudence was tremendous. Nevertheless, Nehru had his way in case of the Hindu Marriage Act. A question arises; why this zeal of Nehru and his ilk for reforming the personal law of the Hindus alone. Why not reform the personal law of the Muslims whose women suffer virtual imprisonment in house and lack fresh air throughout life? Why allow four living wives to a Muslim male and not to others? Is it secularism that the Constitution vouches for? Why has the Directive Principle of the Constitution to have a Common Civil Code for all citizens of India not yet been implemented? Why are the Muslims having a legal holiday and consider themselves to be above common law? These questions go to the root cause of electoral process being exploited to come to power and favour those minority communities who ganged up to push their benefactors to power. Thus we once again go back to the question of numerical majority in the whole country to influence the results at the hustings. The Hindus may wield political influence again provided they make up their mind to vote unitedly and bring those to power who champion the cause of the Hindus. Family Planning has also affected the Hindus adversely. After the policy to have small families was implemented, the Hindus went whole hog for it since they could realise benefits of a planned small family. However, the number of Hindus in the country kept on dwindling and hardly any economic benefits accrued to them for observing family planning both in letter and spirit. On the other hand the Roman Catholic Christians, the religion that Sonia Gandhi professes and so do her children, refused to have a planned family. They had as many children as they wished to have. No govt sanctions were imposed on them for this infringement of the govt policy. The Muslim community followed suit with a vengeance. Every Muslim male married many times and had four living wives who gave birth to countless children. The Government of India turned Nelson’s eye to this violation and no sanctions were imposed because the Congress party needed the Muslim support as their vote-bank. THE WAY OUT Notwithstanding the political scenario being bad for the majority community, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The light shining over there beckons the Hindus and counsels them to the effect that they must strive to increase their numbers as citizens of India . To start with, the Hindus must launch an agitation to stop the influx of the Bangladeshi Muslims and to some extent Pakistani Muslims from entering into India and eventually settling down to become citizens with voting rights. The illegal immigrants are Muslims and they invariably vote for those candidates who promote illegal immigration and making States like Assam and Bengal Muslim majority entities. Thus fake citizens exercise their non-existent right to vote at the national elections and it adversely affects the interests of the Hindus. Again we go back to the need of increasing the numerical strength of the Hindus so that they are not forced by an unconstitutional government to leave their home and hearth to become refugees in their own land. Unfortunately, that situation that was once considered to be a myth became a reality in Jammu and Kashmir when almost all Hindus were forced to leave their ancestral homes in the Kashmir valley and move into shanty huts in Jammu. We must not allow that history to repeat itself in the States like Assam, Bengal, Kerala and so on. In order to avoid the Muslim domination the Hindus have to increase their numerical strength by abandoning family planning, one man-one wife law and thus becoming a numerical minority in their own homeland. ARYA SAMAJ MUST STEP-IN Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati had converted two Muslims to the Vedic Dharm while on a preaching mission in Dehra Dun and Lucknow. Those two gentlemen were influenced by the discourses of the Rishivar and volunteered to become Hindus. Of course, the 20th century Mathura-Agra belt saw a major activity in the realm of religion when the Muslim Malkana Rajputs, whose ancestors were forced to convert to Islam long ago by the Moghul emperor, Aurangzeb, beseeched Swami Shraddhanand Saraswati, an Arya Sanyasi of repute and founder of Gurukul Kangri, to take them in their ancestral fold of Vedic Dharm. Swami Shraddhanand did it with great enthusiasm in the presence of His Highness Maharana Mewar and Pundit Madan Mohan Malviya. The proselytization movement that Swami Shraddhanand launched was a great success. The morale of the Hindus went sky high as their numbers swelled beyond expectations. The movement was, however, cut short when a bigoted Muslim shot Swami ji dead. The man was hanged but the Arya Samaj lost a great leader who was bold and fearless. The great ambition of Swami Ji has to be fulfilled now in the 21st century. Of late, the Arya Samaj in India and abroad has been organising a number of International Mahasammelan of Aryas. Aryas assemblein large numbers, listen to religious discourses, are enlightened and then head for home. Thousands of rupees are collected from both the meek and the mighty and spent on board and lodging of the devotees who come from far and wide. Many an Arya who views these Mahasammelans dispassionately asks the organisers: What has the Arya Samaj gained by this colossal exercise and how many new convertees from Islam and Christianity can we boast of? The glaring doubts remain in their original form in the minds of questioners. A good Arya is encouraged to get his doubts removed but there is rarely an opportunity given in the Sammelan to do so. Young children and adolescents are conspicuous by their absence from the venue. One wonders how can the new generation or Gen X have an imprint of the Arya Samaj? Some Aryas advocate buying TV time and doing Ved prachar there to reach a wider and more varied audience. There will be lesser hassles in organising a TV talk or question-answer session than in organising a Mahasammelan. Indeed delegates from many countries assemble and compare notes for the good of the Gen Next. The argument is quite logical but it has its flaws too. In a Sammelan, the Vedic Vidwan and the audience sit face to face, there is an eye contact and the rapport between the two goes a long way in letting Vedic principles permeate. “No computer or TV can replace a teacher or an Acharya in imparting education and letting SANSKAR set in in a disciple or a young Grihasth.”Likewise an Arya Sammelan is irreplaceable by a TV talk show. Of course, some thinking Arya leaders have found a via media to satisfy both the schools of thought. Let an Arya Mahasammelan go on and let it be televised LIVE for the benefit of those who could not make it to the venue. Proselytize we must. The Arya Samaj must ponder over this point and formulate a plan to launch a drive for SHUDDHI. In the first phase the Arya Samaj may concentrate on those individuals and families who crossed the Lakshman Rekha and went to the camp of our enemies and adversaries. Love Jihad had taken its toll and poaching on our young ones has been going on for some time. We must reverse that trend, here and now. May I invoke the blessings of Ishwar, our Param Pita Parmatma for the success of the Arya Samaj in playing the Number Game with consummate skill and coming out of the arena with roaring success. WILL BHARAT AND PAKIPSTAN EVER BECOME FRIENDS

AUM WILL BHARAT AND PAKISTAN BECOME FRIENDS By Brigadier Chitranjan Sawant,VSM It takes two to Tango. If one fellow tries it, he or she will be laughed at. Similarly it takes two countries or two persons to make friends. If there are more than two, it would be absolutely fine. The more the merrier. Making friends of a lasting nature is important to improve the international understanding and bring about Peace and Prosperity. Of course, to become effective in so, first, at home and later in the locality. With a view to solving problems of international levels, it is imperative that our Mr Fixit takes to solving disputes locally. She may step out thereafter solving international problems, it is important that one solves problems at various levels locally. That is the path of welfare that leads to the sanctuaries and beyond. Looking at this problem-solving get- together one finds it as a stepping stone for solemnising a decent marriage at a later stage. One may understand that it is in these Mandaps that a prospective bride meets her Man, the groom. The rest is just history. FRIENDSHIP ACROSS BORDERS Friendship means Give and Take. It cannot be just one-way street. The ideas, the interests and cash plus kind flow both ways. It is purely a personal matter between two individuals. It is based on national policy promoting public interest and to forge friendship the two neighbouring countries have to make suitable mutual adjustments. Nevertheless, if help is sought for, it should be given post haste on humanitarian grounds. Rendering help to a neighbouring country makes an impact on the hearts and minds of common people and in the long run the common people influence shaping of the foreign policy. Thus large heartedness promotes friendship across borders. Transparency is required in dealing with neighbouring countries. The days of cloak and dagger policy are gone. If there is an element of suspicion, mutual respect and friendship between neighbouring countries will remain a distant dream. The over-riding desire of the military of one nation to have a shooting war with a neighbouring nation in order to avenge a defeat suffered in the past will create an insurmountable hurdle, a non-negotiable road block preventing a smooth passage of the Friendship Train. The two neighbouring nations have to make a separate as well as a joint assessment to convince themselves of the gains of Peace and Friendship vis-a-vis hostility leading to a shooting war. Frankly speaking, Peace pays rich dividends and promotes prosperity provided the road block of the over-riding urge to avenge a past defeat is sublimated to the new neighbourly friendship concept Absence of hostility and above all elimination of factors leading to a clash of arms will bring in both mental and physical security. Security of own nation and that of a neighbouring nation brings economic prosperity and raises the standard of living of average citizens across the borders. Indeed it requires a Leadership of high calibre to be far sighted and be a visionary in the interest of international peace. Let us take a look at the leaders of India and Pakistan and assess their impact on the foreign policies of their respective nations. LEADERSHIP IN BHARAT AND PAKISTAN Since 1947 when the Indian sub-continent gained independence and was partitioned into dominion of India and dominion of Pakistan, the former had had the privilege of being a democracy with Rule of Law being the hallmark of governance. The general elections held every five years expressed the will of the people and ushered in governments that ,by and large, were governed by the Constitution of India and the govts governed the people. The Legislature, the Executive and the Judiciary exercised their constitutional powers of checks and balances. India has been having a strong military that always remained apolitical and cared for the defence of the Nation. The Indian Armed Forces defeated the Pakistan Armed Forces every time India was attacked and forced the Pakistan forces to withdraw, made light of their jingoism and even dismembered Pakistan in the 1971 war. Pakistan was born in violence and was in turmoil right from Day One of its existence. In the beginning, it was the landed aristocracy that ruled the roost and did not deliver the goods as its governance was poor. The ruling class of feudal lords was self centered and the common man was an ignored class but kept happy by being called as the Defenders of Islam. With a view to leading the poor peasantry up the garden path, the country was renamed as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Perhaps it gave them an international recognition by the Islamic world but beyond that Islam was just an empty word for the poor and the hungry. The feudal mis-governance gave a cause to the Pakistan Army to stage a coup d’etat under the leadership of General Ayub Khan, the Sandhurst trained Pathan from the Frontier province. He ran the show for a decade and was subsequently replaced by General Yahya Khan. He itched for a war with India where he wished to teach that woman, read Indira Gandhi, a lesson. He had miscalculated and not only courted a shameful defeat at the hands of India but also lost the entire eastern wing of the country that became Bangladesh with the support of the Indian Army, the people and the leadership. Since then Pakistan has been unable to live down that international shame. Their leaders like General Pervez Musharraf made attempts to snatch the Indian territory like Kargil but were beaten back by the Indian Army. The low IQ of Pakistan’s leadership has been goading them to shun friendship with India and try to settle issues by force. Turning to Bharat, that is India, we find that it has been a prospering democracy from Day One. The thought of a coup d’etat never crossed the minds of even ambitious generals of the Indian Army. The nation has been growing from strength to strength and has carved a niche for itself in the international councils and the United Nations. On the other hand after Pakistan duped the United States in the war in Afghanistan, its credibility has been reduced to Zero. Pakistan has gained a notoriety of biting the hand that feeds it. If Pakistan has not been a loyal friend of USA despite receiving trillions of dollars in aid plus the sophisticated armaments, what assurance is there that it would be a faithful friend of India’s. The public pronouncements of both the civil and military leaders of Pakistan against India go to show the animosity that they have for a neighbouring nation. Let us take just one statement of General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, Army Chief of Pakistan. When the US strategist put pressure on General Kayani to change the pattern of deployment of Pakistan forces and deployment should be Afghanistan centric and not India-oriented, GeneraL Kayani said that the threat perception from India against Pakistan has necessitated deployment of most of the armed forces on the eastern borders of Pakistan where they are poised to attack India. The Pakistan army chief further said that their officers and jawans would never attack the Taliban forces as the two are twins. Moreover, in case of a war with India, the Taliban terrorists would protect the flanks of the Pakistan Army against an attack by the Indian Army. The same logic of General Kayani and the same deployment of the Pakistan Armed Forces on the borders with India holds good even today ignoring friendly counselling of American strategists. Is it possible for Bharat and Pakistan to be friends when the Rulers of Pakistan, read the Army top brass, persist in holding inimical views and feelings for Bharat. With due apologies to the British imperialist poet, Rudyard Kipling, one may say, East is East, West is West; India and Pakistan shall never be friends. RAY OF HOPE Bharat does not entertain or display inimical feelings towards Pakistan. The Pakistan cine artists, singers both men and women come to India very often to put up shows, make money and go home satisfied in all respects. Heart, liver and Kidney patients from Pakistan come to India for surgery and face no hostility. So, one may say that the leaders of India will one day persuade the Pakistan leaders to shake off the Revenge Phobia and not only shake hands but embrace each other as friends. The policy planners in education in the government of Pakistan must have students text books of history, English and Urdu reread and have the text that encourages extremists in Pakistan to promote Hate Hindu; Hate India deleted for good. Unless similar drastic steps are taken in the realm of education, the minds of the new generation Pakistan citizens would continue to be hostile to neighbouring India and thus fritter away their energies on frivolous schemes. Forging friendship and emotional bonds between Bharat and Pakistan would remain distant dreams. Women of Pakistan are a cause of joy to the pro-friendship lobby. The new generation women of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Karachi, Peshawar are intelligent, educated, liberal and possess the courage of conviction. He other day I have had an opportunity to glance through a review of a new glossy women’s magazine named, Hello! Pakistan. It is amazing to read free, frank and fearless expressions that go to the extent of annoying the powers that be. The diktat of Taliban on the dress code for women does not run there. Well! Hello! Pakistan gave me a ray of hope and I surmised that the day is not far off when women of Pakistan will walk across the Wagah border just to say Hello to their sisters and friends in Bharat. A bold move of that nature might usher in friendship between Bharat and Pakistan otherwise the prospects of bon homie between men folk, especially those in the uniformed services, may not see sunny sunshine. ARYA SAMAJ YESTERDAY TO-DAY AND TO-MORROW

Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati appeared as a shining star on the socio-religious firmament of princely India that is Bharat in 1824 at village Tankara, district Rajkot in a family of orthodox Audichya Brahmins. Although it was a family of landed aristocrats of sorts but the baby-boy’s father, Karsanji Tiwary was entrusted with the job of Keeping land records of a small state named Morvi. He was granted some perks and privileges in lieu and the local peasantry respected him as an official of the state. Life ambled along in that part of Kathiawar where no news was always good news. There were rarely any skirmishes, leave aside battles, between the neighbouring states and numerical tally of self-administered and self-centred states touched three digits. The name of the region in Gujarati and Hindi is Saurashtra or one hundred principalities. Each one was busy in its own business. So who had the time to indulge in intrigues or muster horsemen to mount a cavalry charge against the neighbouring principality. Thus Peace prevailed before the advent of Gautam Buddha and even after he had ascended to where he belonged. Saurashtra existed under the suzerainty and overlordship of the British Empire in India and its Chief Executive was the Viceroy and Governor General who functioned from the Imperial capital of New Delhi. The British masters did not meddle with the family faith or personal religion of the native population since they had burnt their fingers badly in the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857. In Saurashtra like anywhere else in India, the British Army and the Native troops lived their own life, rather aloofish, not mixing with the local men. Meeting men once in a blue moon might have been permitted but establishing contact with the native women by the British army officers and British Other Ranks was out of the question. ROLE OF DHARMA The role of Dharma in the Indian way of life is intermingled with the day to day routine life and inseparable from the theory of Karma and Karmaphal as is sugar in Sherbat. The Dharma and the mundane daily life are inseparable, indivisible and unidentifiable, if separated from each other. Right from the morning till night and thereafter whatever one does or does not do is as per injunctions of the Dharma as taught by the greatest law-giver, Manu Maharaj in the Manusmriti. Manu Maharaj has given TEN principles of Dharma that guide the Hindu gentlemen and ladies in leading a life of Righteousness forsaking Evil and imbibing all that is Noble. Apparently, a Ved mantra guided Manu Maharaj in formulating it. The mantra is: AUM VISHWANI DEV SAVITUR DURITANI PARASUV YAD BHADRAM TANNA AASUV. Rendered into English it means : O Lord Benign, help me banish all that is EVIL, and give me guidance to Imbibe all that is NOBLE. Taking it as a bench mark, we move forward and live life by Tenets of Dharma. The ten principles of Dharma are: Dhritih kshama damo steyam shaucham indriya nigrah; Dhih Vidya Satyam Akrodho Dashkam Dharm Lakshanam. Manu Maharaj has summarised so succinctly what our path of Righteousness should be. A free translation of the relevant sloka of the Manusmriti gives us TEN moorings around which the boat of life should drop the anchor. Elsewhere the life will not have a smooth flow or it will be swept away by strong currents beyond our control. The TEN BEACONS are: Patience. Forgiveness. Sublimation. Abjuring the desire to Steal. Cleanliness of Body Mind and Soul. Control of Indriyas. Exercising MIND ( Mastishk Manthan in Hindi), Vidya or Knowedge, TRUTH {Satyamev Jayate Nanretam), Absence of Anger – These indeed are the TEN pillars of Dharm that guide our day to day living. Well, everything was fine and ship-shape until the epic battle of Mahabharat. Thereafter a lot of knowledge was lost with the large scale killings in battle and after Mahabharat, our desh, Bharat sank into a morass. Darkness – PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL PREVAILED ALL OVER. More than half of the population of India was not permitted by the semi-literate Brahmins to read Vedas, what to say of meditating on the Mantras. The women folk were treated by Aryas worse than what the Taliban are doing to them now. Many other sections of the Samaj were left out and counted among the underprivileged and Ignored classes. Many invaders came from Europe and Central Asia and plundered Bharat at will. The Bhartiya Samaj was as bad as lost despite all Vedic knowledge being stored in godowns. The Art of Warfare was lost forever. Research work stopped all over. Books of advanced knowledge were kept sealed for ever as there was none to decipher the Code of Science and Technology. The Vedic Studies suffered more than any other branch of knowledge because there remained none to study and meditate on Mantras. The books of Hymns were worshipped but never read. The Vedic culture had sunk into an abyss as dark as the night of Amavasya .It was a permanent Amavasya where no light could be seen at the end of the dark tunnel. RENAISSANCE RISHI Having lived in a dark abyss for many centuries, the suffering people of Aryavart were blessed with the advent of an enlightened soul who was ready to undergo deprivation for the cause of the country. He studied the Vedic grammar at the feet of Guru Virjanand in Mathura, the janmbhoomi of Yogeshwar Shri Krishna. The dedicated disciple, Dayanand Saraswati did not have to look back thereafter. Swami Dayanand Saraswati, hailed from Tankara village in Kathiawar and spoke Gujarati as his mother tongue. He studied Sanskrit both Vedic and laukik or the current language of the common men of religion. However, a visionary that Dayanand was, he learnt Hindi to write commentaries on the Vedas for the learning of the common man and ordinary housewives. Dayanand Saraswati wrote his magnum opus, Satyarth Prakash, the book of sixteen sanskaras, Sanskar Vidhi and exposition of the method of studying VEDAS, the Rigvedadi Bhashya Bhumika in both Sanskrit and Hindi. Swami Dayanand Saraswati ushered in a revival of Vedic Studies among the common men and women to uplift the society as such. Indeed he ushered the Renaissance – revival of ancient studies for modernisation of man’s outlook and carved a niche in the annals of Vedic Studies. Dayanand’s admirers and followers found in him a Renaissance Rishi who was ever ready to do more and more to uplift the common man and enable him and her to become an Arya – an ennobled human being. When the like-minded Aryas assembled at Kakarwadi in Mumbai on a Saturday afternoon on 10th April 1875 to perform a Vedic Havan, make rules in furtherance of achieving a LAKSHYA of ennobling Mankind, the Arya Samaj was born. It may be of interest to an Arya Samajist of today to know that there were One Hundred members on rolls of the First Arya Samaj that was founded in the presence of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Our Renaissance Rishi was a democrat to his fingertips and preferred his name to figure in alphabetical order sans precedence. Notwithstanding fervent appeals made by many newly enrolled members to the Rishivar to accept Presidentship of the Arya Samaj, Kakarwadi, Bombay; the ascetic of erudition chose to be just an ordinary member like 99 others sitting there. The popularity of the Arya Samaj increased among the masses by leaps and bounds. However, the province that became a citadel of the Arya Samaj movement was the undivided Punjab with capital city Lahore as the epicentre. Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati himself travelled from Mumbai to Multan in the North, to Calcutta in the East, Rajkot, Kathiawar in the West and Pune in the Deccan Plateau. The Swami was a popular Sanyasi and his name and fame travelled far and wide. He received invitations from far and wide to preach the original Vedic Dharma and take common man on board. In Rajputana, kings and commoners alike received him with open arms and Maharana Sajjan Singh Ji of Mewar changed the education system of his State as per the details given in the Satyarth Prakash and further augmented by the Maharishi himself. However, it is now a part of history how Swami Dayanand Saraswati was betrayed in the State of Jodhpur and poisoned by those whose livelihood was endangered by the enlightening discourses and personal counselings by the Rishivar to the affected persons who were high and mighty, such as courtesan like Nanhi Bhagatan, Muslim Musahibs like Faizullah Khan and his protégé Doctor Ali Mardan Khan. Having suffered from an undiagnosed illness and consequently lack of effective medical treatment, shifting the Swami from place to place when he was in frail health are some of the factors that call for an investigation de novo into his illness and treatment thereof. We may keep the issue alive and take up when the environment is more cordial for a probe. Leaving the legal aspect aside, one may dive deep into the medical aspect of diagnosis, treatment and medication of Swami Dayanand Saraswati in last few months of his life in what was then known as Rajputana; the present day Rajasthan. It was the Diwali evening. The date was 30th October 1883. Swami Dayanand Saraswati who had been suffering for one month one day for lack of proper medical treatment, composed himself, prayed pronouncing Ved mantras and singing a bhajan, bestowing an Aashirwad look to his disciples. He breathed his last serenely. The 59-year old Sanyasi was in pain but his composure and his trust in the dispensation of justice, the karma Phal that he believed in, really convinced one and all who were present in that hall of the Bhinoy Kothi that the Rishivar’s trust in Ishwar was unshakable by matters mundane such as illness and pre-mature demise. Swami’s sad demise a century and three decades ago shocked all Arya Samajists all over Bharat but they recovered soon and vowed to carry on the mission of Dayanand and et the masses be benefitted. Among them was Pt Guru Dutt Vidyarthi, formerly an agnostic bordering atheism, who drew sustenance from the last moments of Swami Dayanand Saraswati and became an Arya pracharak par excellence. ARYA SAMAJ ALL OVER TODAY Nepal to Netherlands; Timbuktu to Honolulu- an Arya may travel to far off lands and yet he will find other Aryas there to join and do Vedic Havan. It is indeed an achievement that we must continue to expand for the benefit of our posterity. Of course, many a time the procedure of doing a Dainik Havan in Fiji and in Honolulu differed in minor points but that too must be rectified under the authority and seal of the Sarvadeshik Arya Pratinidhi Sabha. It is the duty of the Apex body of Aryas to sit in coordination with the Paropkarini Sabha, founded by Maharishi Dayanand himself before his demise to ensure, inter alia, uniformity of text of the treatises penned by him but their proof reading was not of the desirable level. The Arya Samajes and other Vedic Sansthans like the Arsh Kanya Gurukuls, the Arya Anathalayas, Arya educational institutions like the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic Schools and Colleges opened in large numbers. So did the Gurukuls, mostly in rural areas that catered to the requirements of wards of the peasant class. Thus the language skills and interest in Science and Technoogy could be seen developing at a faster rate than among the rural institutions of the Arya Samaj. In the 20th century, the Arya Samaj spread its Vedic theology, as propounded and interpreted by Swami Dayanand Saraswati, far and wide. The notable growth was in foreign countries where people of Indian origin, especially those of the Hindu community had settled down. The island nations like Mauritius, Fiji, British Guyana, now Trinidad and Tobago did exceedingly well in not only accepting the Indians professing the Vedic Dharm for settling down and earning a living off farms but also preach and propagate the same. Thus there was a crying requirement for establishing Arya Samajes in the Island Nation and the Vedic Dharmis of the previous generations met that requirement. Consequently, there was an ever-growing demand for the Vedic literature that a number of our publishers met the demand for Aarsh Sahitya. The Vedic Press(Vaidik Mudranalaya) also rose up to the expectations and contributed a number of basic books written by Maharishi Dayanand himself like Satyarth Prakash, Sanskar Vidhi and Rigvedadi Bhashya Bhumika. Swami Dayanand Saraswati was in great demand personally for stepping out for Ved prachar. On his sad demise on 30th October 1883, the responsibility of carrying on the Dayanand Mission of Ved prachar fell on the young shoulders of various Arya Pratinidhi Sabhas, mainly of the Punjab, located in Lahore. They acquitted themselves very well. Most of the contributors of money and material for propagating the Vedic Dharma belonged to the lower and upper middle class families. Doling out a large sum for the Ved Prachar meant that they had to cut expenditure on some other essential items of purchase required to run the household. But they did not mind cutting expenses on fun and frolic and diverting it to the opening of new Arya Samajes, educating neo-converts to the Vedic Dharm and even on the Vedic wedding of nubile girs of neo-Aryas in penury. The Aryas committed to doing the Ved prachar bore additional burden monetarily and otherwise but never lost their cheer and mirth. As the night fell, new Arya Samaj buildings were lighted. Spirited young men performed Bhangra and proved to the word that the Aryas would neither be down nor out once the question of expenditure on the Ved prachar was juxtaposed against proposed expenses on clothes and jewellery for the newly wedded Bahus of the household. The openings of new Arya Samajes was going great guns when the political activities of eminent Arya Samajists ike Lala lajpat Rai, Bhai Parmanand brought the whole Arya Samaj under the scanner of the British government in India. SATYAMEV JAYATE NANRITAM – the Truth Triumphs, not the Falsehood; so says the Upanishad and it was proved right in the case of the Arya Samaj too. The suspicion that the British govt in India had harboured mistakenly was blown away sooner than later and the work and service rendered by the Arya Samaj to the deprived sections of the society during famine and earthquake earned name and fame for itself. Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar founded by Mahatma Munshi Ram, later known as Swami Shraddhanand, with an all out effort of dedicated Aryas who wished to revert to the ancient Vedic Gurukul system, had attracted appreciative attention of both the foreigners and Indians. Initially dubbed as a factory that made bombs and harboured an underground arsenal of killing-weapons, the great Gurukul was given a certificate by the British Prime Minister, Sir Ramsay McDonald as the fitting answer the ancient Vedic system of education gave to the British system of education introduced in India after Lord Macaulay’s infamous Minute of 1835. The British Prime Minister added that many Indian politicians had criticised Macaulay but it was only Mahatma Munshi Ram who had given a pragmatic solution to the problem of education veering the whole system towards the ancient culture of Bharat and giving students a bend of mind that would be SWADESJI through and through.. Indeed the nation is proud of all the Vedalankars and Vidyalankars who not only were shining stars on the firmament of Journalism but also made sacrifices as freedom fighters to free Bharat from the clutches of the foreign rule. DAV or the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic schools and Colleges proudly produced scholars, administrators who were great men of learning. The young men and women, products of the DAV institutions, defended the motherland from attacks of cruel Pakistanis in the Kargil war of 1999 and some of our young men made the supreme sacrifice. One of the parents from Himachal Pradesh mentioned to the President of the DAV College Management Committee when the latter went to condole the brave son’s glorious deed in battle that the spirit of Patriotism was instilled in his son by the DAV College and his son would choose no other way but that of making an offering of his life at the Yajna of defending the motherland. The DAV has inherited this love for the Dharma from Swami Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Hansraj Ji. It is the spirit of devotion and dedication to the cause of education and preparing the youth for selfless service to the motherland that brought a good name to the DAV movement. What started just as one school, the DAV School Lahore has now blossomed into Seven Hundred plus educational institutions attracting students from far and wide. From simple school the DAV has risen to the dizzy heights of Engineering Colleges and Technical Centres imparting a high level of education. Commendable indeed! Indeed it would be in order to make a mention of the great men of the Arya Samaj who became martyrs defending the Vedic way of life and the culture they received as a tradition handed down from generation to generation. The illustrious founder of the Arya Samaj, Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati was the first to sacrifice his life for the Vedic Dharma when he was poisoned by the wily conspirators who did not wish the great Sanyasi carry on with the Reformation movement of the Hindu rank and file. Pundit Lekh Ram was the next in the line of great martyrs. He was prepared to make any sacrifice to bring in men and women of other faiths to the Vedic Dharm. At the same time he did his best to prevent his co-religionists from crossing over the Lakshman Rekha to embrace other foreign faiths. The parting words of Pt Lekh Ram Ji are meaningful even today. He had said “ Tehrir aur taqrir kabhi band nahin honi chahiye.”It means never stop writing on our Dharma or delivering sermons about it. Those pracharaks who follow Pt lekh Ram’s advice reap a good harvest. Swami Shraddhanand Sanyasi, founder of Gurukul Kangri and a great Pracharak himself had the courage and perseverance to convert thousands of Muslim Malkana Rajputs in the Agra-Mathura-Bharatpur belt to the Vedic Dharm. Swami Shraddhanand Ji had the full support of Maharana Mewar, Pt Madan Mohan Malviya and other great Hindu leaders in this novel venture of his. Of course, Gandhi Ji, who rarely supported the Arya Samaj or a Hindu cause was upset that an Arya Sanyasi was disturbing the religious equation in the fertile belt. Gandhi Ji forgot that it was the same Sanyasi who was invited by the Muslim leaders to the Jama Masjid, Delhi to deliver a sermon from the pulpit against the British. Swami Shraddhanand had chanted a Vedic hymn and ended his speech with Aum Shantih Shantih Shantih..The time, however, now required the Hindu community to swell its numbers to browbeat its opponents who were out to swallow the Hindu community. Mahashay Rajpal Ji, a publisher and a bookseller, was a dedicated supporter of the Arya Samaj. He was a great believer in the right to exercise the freedom of what to publish and what not to publish. This freedom vested in the publisher as per his belief. He had his own shop and showroom of books in Lahore. In those days of turmoil in the Punjab, the Muslim community had the audacity to publish two books deriding the Hindus in general and the Aryas in particular. “Krishna, teri GITA Jalani padegi”was an out and out lie showing Yogeshwar Shri Krishna in bad light. “19vin sadi ka Maharishi” was the second book brought out by Muslims of Lahore painting Swami Dayanand’s personae with a tarred brush that no civilised citizen would have liked to read. The leaders and rank and file of the Arya Samaj deliberated and decided that the Muslim mischief makers had to be paid in the same coins. Pundit Chamupati,M.A., an Arya leader and scholar, consequently wrote a book “RANGILA RASOOL”bringing out the seamy side of life’s history of Prophet Mohammad of Islam. It was based on real aspects of Muhammad’s life. The Muslims protested and the govt filed a case against the publisher, Mahashay Rajpal who was eventually acquitted with honour by the Punjab High Court, Lahore. Everything written in that book was supported by the Islamic history. The Muslims decided to kill Mahashay Rajpal because he had been set free for telling the truth. One afternoon when he was resting in his bookshop, a Muslim entered with a long knife and thrust it into Rajpal Ji’s abdomen. Other Arya Samajists sitting in another room came to the scene and caught hold of the killer until the police arrived. Mahashay Rajpal Ji became a martyr for the cause of Truth and for freedom to publish. The Nizam of Hyderabad had ordered the Hindus not to renovate their temples. He had put some restrictions on the entry of Ved pracharaks into the Hyderabad State. The Arya Samaj had launched an agitation for freedom to worship and for right to maintain and repair your temples. Many young Aryas sacrificed their lives in the Nizam’s jails. Having made so many sacrifices, the Arya Samaj won its right of worship and maintenance of places of worship. FUTURE STRATEGY OF ARYAS With a view to holding sway over the world around, it is essential for the leadership of the Arya Samaj to ensure that there is a continuity of “Thought and Action” and coordination withthe rank and file of ignored sectionsof the society in the Arya Samaj at the national and international levels. The Baton of command and control of the organisational issues should be passed on smoothly from the gray-hair generation to the graying hair generation. The Arya Samaj must have a continual infow of new blood at the philosophical level as well as the organisational level. It is a fairly good proportion of youth that mingles with the old generation that provides both strength for Change and a base for continuity of the Tradition. The day this inflow of young blood and their healthy interaction with the older generation slows down or gradually comes to the figure ZERO, that day spells the Beginning of the End. It happened in some mofussil towns and even in some moribund localities of metropolitan cities; and the Arya Samaj of that locality breathed its last. Sad indeed! A major danger lurking in the dark corners and alleys that forebodes a lock out of the Arya Samaj concerned is dispute over the property painstakingly created by the outgoing generation. Unfortunately, the sameproperty and schools created and founded so ainstakingly become a bone of contention as some fake Arya Samajists wish to take over the Arya Samaj for owning the property created as a matter of charity or DAAN and acquire proprietory rights in perpetuity for self and their coterie. Indeed it is a major cause of the decline and fall of an august movement of the 19th-20th centuries that has almost become a dud in many zones in the 21st century. A dedicated Arya Samajist feels ashamed of the acts and omissions of fake Aryas when they just rent out the Arya Samaj Bhawan for non-religious activities of the Vedic Dharm and even to people who have nothing in common with the VedicDharm just for the sake of making money. Once a reputed centre of Vedic Dharm that pulsated with debates and declamation contests of the Veda related themes, the place has acquired a dubious distinction of being referred to by the locals as the “Barat Ghar”. The building gathers dust and walls have cobwebs as the caretaker turns up only when there is a wedding and he too gets his palm greased. What a pity! Thus the Arya Samaj has to guard itself against its own members who are more interested in making money than in observing the TEN PRINCIPLES of the Arya Samaj. Their love of lucre must be nipped in the bud before they sell the Arya Samaj property and the legal case reaches the portals of a court of law. In his last WILL and Testament drawn at Maharana’s Udaipur in early 1883, before Swami Dayanand Saraswati set out on his last and final journey of Reformation of the Maharajas, it is clearly mentioned that Aryas and Arya Samajes must not join legal battles but settle their disputes amicably with the help of other Aryas. How sad that the great Guru’s advice is observed in breach and the court cases are mounting high like snow on hills in winter. Another major reason for the Arya Samaj movement going downhill is lack of Initiative to preach and propagate the Vedic Dharma as it is our duty to do so. Converting other people from their Faith to the Vedic Dharm is almost at a standstill. A new push must be given so that the Arya Samaj is active in augmenting the tally of Aryas at the global level now and forever. Let us tighten our belts and convert men and women of other religions to the Vedic Dharm so that our aggressive policies stem the tide of their nefarious activities like the Love-Jihad. The Shuddhi Andolan will keep Aryas busy and will not let idle man’s brain become devil’s workshop. The legal cases filed in courts of law by one Arya against another Arya to grab the immoveable property of the Arya Samaj will decline considerably. Writing and publishing books on the Vedic subjects will be of use to all Aryas. Let us listen to and obey the parting advice rendered by Pundit Lekh Ram in death bed ”Never stop writing and delivering sermons”. We Aryas must emulate our great Guru and founder of the Arya Samaj, Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati in carrying on with the Vedic mission, writing, speaking and travelling far and wide for ennobling all human beings : KRINVANTO VISHWAMARYAM. By Brigadier Chitranjan Sawant,VSM
